Fmaj7 C C Cm7/B

     Fmaj7 C Cm7/B
This house that I live in has no reason
     C Cm7/B G
This house that I sleep in has no purpose
         C Fmaj7
It has a bed and a few old chairs
              C Fmaj7 Am7
Three flights up, two flights of stairs
Gadd11 C
      But it has no reason

     Fmaj7 C Cm7/B
Then someone shot through the tyre swing
                    Fmaj7 C
The dogs barked and bayed in the winter and
Cm7/B
spring
        Fmaj7 Cadd4
And the ivy that hung now sadly clings
           G
To a dying season

    Am7 C G
And I cry at night when the lights go out
        Am7 C G
And the green eyes fuse and the full moon shouts
     Am7 C G
From road maps and red lines to lipstick lies
             Am7 C G
And when the lights go out it's tough to
Fmaj7
survive

     Fmaj7 C Cm7/B
This man holds a hand that shows a tremble
     Fmaj7 C Cm7/B
This man that I live in bears his faults
         C Fmaj7
He has a heart and a well worn soul
            C Fmaj7 Am7
Ten years a slave to Rock And Roll
Gadd11 C
      But he has to tremble

     Fmaj7 C Cm7/B
Then someone shot through the tyre swing
                    Fmaj7 C
The dogs barked and bayed in the winter and
Cm7/B
spring
        Fmaj7 Cadd4
And the ivy that hung now sadly clings
           G
To a dying season

    Am7 C G
And I cry at night when the lights go out
        Am7 C G
And the green eyes fuse and the full moon shouts
     Am7 C G
From road maps and red lines to lipstick lies
             Am7 C G
And when the lights go out it's tough to
Fmaj7
survive
             Am7 C G
And when the lights go out it's tough to
Fmaj7
survive
